What's the best hotel for overnighting before/after a flight at SJO?

I'm looking for some inside info for a clean, nice hotel with amenities that is close to the airport. What I'm not trying to do is pay typical gringo tourist prices (no Hampton/Holiday Inns or anything like that) or pay extra for a fabulous restaurant/casino/pool/etc since we'll only be there one night. Simple but comfortable is best (and a free breakfast wouldn't hurt either).
Looking at some places online, I would say $60-$100 for a room for my girlfriend and I. I've stayed at Hotel Luisiana and loved it but Santa Ana is a bit far for us. Hotel Aeropuerto seems like what I'm basically looking for, but I would love to hear some other suggestions. It will be my gf's first time in Costa Rica (I used to live there) so I would like to make things as easy as possible.
edit: forgot to say I'll be there in May so looking at low season rates.
